This article will help you connect your Personio and People Analytics accounts in just a few clicks.

Before you start

⚠️ Note: you need access to a Personio account with admin privileges to complete this task.

🚧 Caveat: third-party services and platforms may change the layout of their user interface and render this guide obsolete. Fetch API key from Personio

  1. Log in to your Personio account

  2. Go to Settings, on the left-hand side

  3. Then, go to Integrations → API credentials

  4. Click Generate new credentials button at the top right of the screen

  5. Fill in the form in the following way

    • Name: People Analytics integration API key

    • Integration: People Analytics

    • Personal data:

      • Employees (✔ Read)

      • Attendances (✔ Read)

      • Absences (✔ Read)

    • Readable employee attributes (Select all)

6. Click the Generate new credential button

7. The form will show the API credentials part, under which you will find your key and your secret key (you need both for connecting Personio to People Analytics).

8. Click Save and Copy the keys

Enable Personio Integration

  1. In People Analytics, on the top right corner click on your name, then click My Profile

2. At the bottom of the My Profile page you'll see the Connected Apps section. Choose Personio and click Connect.

Go to your Personio account and make sure that you are logged in and that you have admin privileges. Follow the instructions in the dialog box to get your API key and share it with People Analytics.

3. Click the Connect Personio button.

Your People Analytics profile is now connected with Personio and you are all set to start exploring your people metrics. 🥳

Story Metrics You’ll Get From Personio

Once you have Personio connected, our platform will fetch the data. This process can take up to a few hours to complete (depending on the things you track and their health).

In an ideal scenario, you'll be able to see metrics in different Story chapters such as Headcount, Diversity, Talent Management, Rewards, Turnover and Leadership. You can also activate data filler and diagnostic surveys in People Analytics to enrich your Culture, Team Effectiveness and Employee Wellbeing data.
