Overview
This guide is your one-stop resource for exporting your Culture Amp data and securely transferring it to a third-party provider if needed. Whether you’re handling this on your own or working with your IT team, we’ll walk you through the available export options and any requirements for secure data sharing.
You will find:
Exporting Your Data
Culture Amp offers built-in export options across most products. These are available to administrators and provide access to reports, insights, and usage data.
Surveys
You can export data for each report, including:
Raw Data Extract (RDE) - *if enabled on your survey prior to launch

See Exporting Performance Data for more information.
Development Plans
The Development Planning Report is split into 3 sections - Insight, Participation, and Employees.
On the Employees tab, you can export plans to receive a raw data report that includes the most recent development plans for employees in your organization.

Personal Data You Can Export Yourself
Some data is designed to be private to individual users and does not offer admin-level exports. While these features don’t have built-in export options, in these cases, your employees can use a workaround to access or export their own data for the below:
1-on-1 Conversations
Goals
Shoutouts
Skills Coach
Individual Development Plans
Anytime Feedback
To export this information
Open the data you're hoping to save
Press Cmd + P (Mac) or Ctrl + P (Windows)
This will open a print screen pop-up on your device.
Choose Save as PDF to save the file to your device
Print screen PDF exports capture your current screen data and compile it into a downloadable PDF, making it a useful workaround for any platform areas without built-in export options.
More information can be found in our Exporting Your Personal Data From Culture Amp support guide, which is a useful resource for employees without administrator access.
Requesting a Secure Data Transfer to a Third Party
If you're moving to another vendor or working with an external provider, we can help securely transfer your Culture Amp data.
When to Request a Transfer
Some common scenarios include:
You're offboarding and want to migrate your data to a new platform.
You’re working with a third-party vendor for additional analysis or integration.
You’ve received a GDPR data access request and need help gathering the data.
What You'll Need
To ensure privacy and security, we may require a signed Data Transfer Agreement (DTA) before we can complete your request.
A DTA outlines:
What data is being transferred
How the data will be handled
Responsibilities of both parties
Confidentiality
Whether the data is being transferred to you directly or to a third party, we can only share survey results in line with the survey’s confidentiality settings. This includes protections for direct and indirect identification and any raw data extract restrictions.
Note: To initiate a secure data transfer, please reach out to your main Culture Amp contact. This might be your Account Manager, Customer Success Coach, or another representative you're already working with.
If you're unsure who to contact, you can also start a support conversation and reply with “Ask a person” to be connected with someone who can direct your request appropriately.
