Engagement Survey
If you've been asked to participate in an engagement survey, you may be wondering what exactly your organization is measuring. Employee engagement represents the levels of enthusiasm and connection employees have with their organization. Engagement can indicate how motivated people are to put in extra effort for their organization, and how committed they are to staying there. Engaged employees lead to higher performing, more resilient organizations, and surveys are a proven method to help organizations determine what they need to do to drive engagement and allow their employees (you!) to thrive.
As a participant in an Engagement survey, it's important to provide candid, honest feedback. It's expected that you may have questions about how your feedback will be displayed or how to access your survey reports once they are shared. We've compiled the list of resources below to help you take your survey with confidence.

Onboard/Exit Survey
If you're new to an organization or about to say goodbye, it's common for your employer to request your feedback. Traditionally, onboarding tends to be a one-way process in that information is just given to new employees. By asking new starters for feedback on their onboarding experience, an organization can ensure a two-way conversation takes place. It also means organizations can more readily intervene if there is something broken in their process. Similarly for exit surveys, allowing the organization to determine the cause for an employee leaving can act as the foundation for future changes!
As a participant in an Onboarding or Exit survey, you may have questions pertaining to the confidentiality of your responses or how to access the survey. We're here to help!

Inclusion (Unattributed) Survey
While a typical Engagement survey is an attributed survey, meaning it's connected to your employee data and can only be taken with a unique link, unattributed surveys have no tie to an individual at all. Unattributed surveys use a common link - when each participant accesses the link, a new survey response is created that cannot be attributed to the participant.
One of our more common unattributed surveys is our Inclusion survey. An inclusion survey highlights if, where, and how different groups of employees experience your company culture differently.
As a participant in an Unattributed or Inclusion survey, you may have questions pertaining to how your feedback is displayed, whether or not it's safe to disclose what identity groups you're a part of, and how you can help make your organization more inclusive. The guides below should help!
