The Goal Tree offers several features to help you customize your view and explore your goals in depth. Here’s how to use them:

Reset to default view

  • Click the Reset tree button to return the goal tree to its default, closed state and start fresh.

View a single goal

  • Click on a goal card to view details such as the goal title, level (company, department, individual, or team), due date, overall goal progress, status, and goal owners.

  • To update or track progress, click the main body of the goal card to open the drawer. The bottom of the card will show any goals directly aligned with it and how many there are. Click to expand or collapse these branches.

Zoom in and out

  • Adjust your view to see more or less of the goal tree by zooming in or out.

Pan

  • Navigate around the goal tree by clicking and dragging the page.

Goal Tree visibility

Goals in the goal tree are visible based on their alignment and visibility settings.

Goals that have the visibility set to "everyone" and are directly or indirectly aligned to company goals, will appear, including:

  • Company goals

    • Always visible at the top level under your company logo.

  • Aligned Group or Individual goals

    • Displayed under the relevant company goal.

Troubleshooting visibility issues

If some goals aren’t appearing as expected, consider the following:

  • Check visibility settings

  • Verify goal alignment

    • Confirm that goals are aligned with higher-level objectives to ensure they show up in the correct place.

Tip: To adjust visibility or goal alignment settings, follow the steps outlined in the Managing goal visibility with Goals (new) article.
