How to manage your direct reports' self-reflections

Who is this guide for?

Managers

As a manager, you'll receive email and inbox notifications when your direct reports complete their self-reflections. You can easily track completion rates and actions taken on your direct reports' self-reflections by reviewing the percentage bar, which shows the number of users that have completed their self-reflection compared to those that have not.

  • Completed: Your direct report has finished their self-reflection, and you can view it now.

  • Incomplete: Your direct report has yet to complete their self-reflection.

Accessing your direct reports' self-reflections

Access your direct reports' self-reflections by navigating to Performance > Self-reflections > Direct Reports > Self-reflections. Click on the cycle you'd like to see to review the contents of completed and submitted self-reflections.

Commenting on self-reflections

We encourage managers to comment on self-reflections to gain deeper insights into their direct reports' answers. Both managers and direct reports can add context and respond to comments. Comments can be deleted by both parties using the trash can icon.

Performance Administrators have the option to include manager prompts in the self-reflection question setup. These prompts are designed to help managers craft specific and actionable comments. You may encounter these prompts as you complete your direct reports' self-reflections.
