Who can use this feature?

  • Users with the Account Admin role.

Available on:

  • All Culture Amp subscriptions that include Develop

The Develop Admin role allows specific Users to manage aspects of employee development, such as viewing development reports, managing Career paths, and administering Skills coach, without giving them access to other sensitive data like performance reviews or survey feedback.

What to expect

  • View Development reports: Gain insights into employee engagement with personal development plans.

  • Administer Skills coach: Manage courses, track participation, and invite employees to engage in learning.

  • Edit Career paths and Competencies: Edit career paths, adjust competencies, and assign roles to employees.

Important notes:

  • Scoped permissions: Develop Admins do not have access to performance reviews or survey feedback, focusing solely on development needs.

  • No limit on Admins: You can assign multiple Users to the Develop Admin role.

Assign Users to the Develop Admin role

Steps to assign the role

Click your account’s Settings button.

Select Roles and permissions from the sidebar menu.

If assigning the User's first role, click Assign role and use the search box to find the employee by name, email, or employee ID.

For Users with existing permissions, use the Search users box to locate the employee and click the Edit button next to their name.

Check the box next to Develop Admin.

Click Save to confirm the assignment.

Tip: If a user already has a role with higher permissions assigned, the Develop Admin option will be greyed out. To assign the Develop Admin role, you'll need to uncheck the other admin role first. This will unlock the option to assign the Develop Admin role instead.

Remove the Develop Admin role

Steps to remove the role

Click the Settings button.

Select Roles and permissions from the sidebar.

Locate the employee using their name, email, or employee ID.

Click the Edit button next to their name.

Uncheck the Develop Admin box.

Click Save to finalize the removal.

This streamlined role assignment enables HR leaders and other key stakeholders to focus on employee development while maintaining the privacy of performance and survey data.
