Multi-signal Intelligence (MSI) is a new intelligence capability in Culture Amp. It combines Culture Amp data with external people data, like HRIS, compensation, productivity, and ATS data and helps surface meaningful hotspots, explain what is driving them, and recommend actions through AI Coach.

Available Insights

Multi-signal Intelligence provides the following Insights:

Additional insights will become available over time.

Where are insights shown?

Insights are shown (when available) at the top of the Coach side pane and can be clicked to start a Coach conversation related to that insight. If no qualifying insight is available, no tile will be shown.

Tiles will be shown to Account Administrators and will be shown in two places:

  • The Home page

  • The general Coach page

These are the only two places the tile appears. You will not see it in Coach surfaces tied to a specific survey report, performance review cycle, or other areas where specific Coach versions are available.

How to get started

In order to use Multi-signal Intelligence, Coach must be activated on your account. For help turning on Coach, see Coach Admin Guide.

Different insights may require different data sources. Configuration of data sources for Multi-signal Intelligence can be completed by an Account Administrator by navigating to Settings > Insights.

Turnover Risk

Turnover Risk Insight requires the following data sources to be connected:

  1. Employee Data in Culture Amp. This is required in order to identify specific groups. This can be via an integrated HRIS or with manually imported data and does not require any additional configuration.

  2. Connection to a completed survey that includes a question representing 'intent to stay' - connection instructions

Managing the surveys data source

Consider the following information when deciding on what survey to select as your data source:

  • Only closed surveys should be selected. Surveys in draft or live status will not generate insights until they are closed.

  • Survey must contain an 'intent to stay' question. This is typically a question that measures a participants intent to stay such as "I see myself working at the organization in 2 years" etc.

  • Only attributed survey types are supported. Attributed surveys include surveys created using Engagement and Performance Culture Quadrant (PCQ) templates and any custom attributed survey. Unattributed, Onboarding, Exit, and Effectiveness surveys are not supported.

💡 Insights are anchored on a single closed survey and the intent to stay question from that survey. Choose the survey that best represents the population and time period you want to focus on.

We recommend selecting a survey that includes the largest population of your employees as possible as participants. This ensure all areas are being considered when analysing the data.

Select surveys

  1. Navigate to the configuration page at Settings > Insights

  2. Select "Add surveys" on the right of the surveys box.

  3. Locate the required surveys in the list or use the search option at the top to filter

  4. Click on the survey to select it

  5. Click "Save" at the bottom to confirm your selections. You can click "Cancel" to exit the selector.

🎓 All Live, and Closed attributed surveys will be shown in the list except if the survey has been archived. Live surveys will be listed first ordered by most recently created first. Closed survey will be listed after that ordered by the close date in descending order.

Select or change 'intent to stay' question

Each survey will require the 'intent to stay' question identified in order to be able to provide Insights. Surveys in the list will display a "Select question" tag and a banner at the top of the list if any survey requires a question selected. To select the relevant question:

  1. Click the "..." (three-dot icon) on the row of the required survey and select "Configure survey" in the menu

  2. From the "Select intent to stay question" dropdown select the question from the survey that you would like to use.

  3. Click "Submit" at the bottom to confirm your selection. You can click "Cancel" to exit the selector.

Remove a survey

When you no longer need a survey to be considered in your insights, you can remove a survey.

  1. Locate the survey in the Surveys list

  2. Click the "..." (three-dot icon) on the row of the required survey and select "Remove survey" in the menu
