Welcome to Culture Amp!

Welcome to Culture Amp β€” an employee experience platform for employee engagement, performance management, and employee development. If you've never heard of Culture Amp, the below video gives you an overview of what to expect:

You and your organization may be using Culture Amp for engagement surveys, performance cycles, manager 1-on-1s, professional development, or utilizing the entire platform. Below you'll find all the resources you need in order to get set up with your account, start navigating the platform, as well as some other helpful links for new users.

πŸ’‘ Have questions that this guide can't answer? Be sure to take a look around our Support Guide, and if in doubt, reach out to our Culture Amp Support Team via email: support@cultureamp.com or reply with Ask a Person to speak with a specialist during your conversation. They're available 24/5 to help you with all things Culture Amp.

Culture Amp at a glance πŸ€“

If you read & watched the above and still aren't totally sure why your organization is using Culture Amp, here's a cheat sheet to break down what we do and why we do it! Please note that your specific organization may only be using some of these tools.

πŸ’Ÿ Employee engagement

Culture Amp's Engagement module is designed to help your organization measure employee engagement. In a nutshell, employee engagement is a measurement of how happy, successful and engaged you and your teammates are! Engagement is most commonly understood and measured through surveys - when your organization launches a survey, you'll be notified (via email, Microsoft Teams and/or Slack) if you're included as a survey participant. If your organization chooses, results will be shared with you as well through those same channels. All of these tasks and information will show up on your home page when you log in to Culture Amp!

Note that engagement surveys are only one of several survey types Culture Amp can support for your organization - you can learn more about different survey types in our Support Guide, or through the links provided below.

πŸ“ˆ Performance reviews & self-reflections

Performance reviews are an opportunity for you, your peers, and your manager to provide each other with feedback and help you and your team improve. We know review season can be nerve-wracking, so we've done our part to try to make the experience as easy as possible!

Currently, our Performance module allows for a few different types of feedback. Your organization may only employ some or all of these. They are:

  • Self-reflections - in which you to give yourself feedback, which will typically be shared with your manager to consider as they write your review

  • Peer feedback/Anytime Feedback - in which you provide other members of your team with feedback, and vice versa. You or your manager will nominate other members of your team to give you feedback right in the platform!

  • Upward feedback - in which you provide feedback to your manager

  • Manager review - in which your manager provides you with feedback

You will receive notifications via email (as well as Slack or Microsoft Teams, if those integrations are enabled) when it's time to nominate peers to give you feedback, write your self-reflection, give peer and upward feedback, and when your manager review is shared. You'll be prompted to complete these on your Culture Amp dashboard as well!

πŸ“ Manager 1-on-1s

At Culture Amp, we know how important 1-on-1 time with your manager is - it's your opportunity to exchange feedback, share gratitudes, celebrate wins, and just generally check in about your work and professional development. Our 1-on-1s module makes it seamless for your manager to set up a 1-on-1 schedule with you, and you'll be notified before every meeting that it's time to fill out the 1-on-1 form to help guide the conversation efficiently. Notes from your 1-on-1 sessions can be saved for later so you and your manager can reference them during your performance review! You'll also see a task on your dashboard to remind you about your upcoming 1-on-1s.

πŸ’ͺ Professional development

The 1-on-1s module we referenced above is a component of our development tools! For development, our platform also supports:

Goals

Goals can be created for individuals, teams, and even your entire company! Individual employees can create their own goals, and managers and administrators can also create goals on employees' behalf. You can easily track your progress and provide updates to stakeholders, all within the Culture Amp platform.

Skills Coach

If your organization uses Skills Coach, you may be invited to complete short trainings to help you improve your skills; you may also elect to complete them on your own in the Culture Amp platform!

Development plans

We know how important a clear plan is when thinking about your professional development; we also know how easy it is for development to get lost in the shuffle of your day-to-day work. In Develop, you and your manager can create a clear Development Plan that will be linked to any Goals you and your manager create in the platform. The Development Plan is a great way to hold yourself accountable for your growth and make your long-term goals less overwhelming by guiding you to break them down into manageable steps.

Logging into Your Account

Let's get down to business! The first thing you'll need to do in order to access all that the platform has to offer is log in. We have several different authentication methods that will be unique to you and your organization. While it is possible to participate in some of our surveys without logging in, there are other parts of the platform (ex: Performance Reviews) that can only be accessed from your account.

For general information on how to log in and guidance on how to set up a strong password, please see the resources below!

Navigating the Platform

Now that you have successfully logged into the platform, it's time to start taking action! Whether you are wondering where to go in order to provide feedback to your colleagues or how to access your Self Reflection, we've got you covered!

The resources below will help you familiarize yourself with our platform while you embark on this new journey.
