Navigate Culture Amp (Classic vs. New UX) | Culture Amp Support Guide

🔐 Who can use this feature?

Roles: All users (once enabled for the account)

Culture Amp is moving from top-bar navigation (Classic UX) to a sidebar navigation (New UX). Right now, New UX is available to accounts in our Early Access Program and to accounts that have opted in early, so what you see depends on your account. Use this guide to check which experience you have and to find any page in either one.

Check which navigation you're using

Look at the edges of any Culture Amp page on a computer:

ℹ️ Note: On a phone or narrow window, neither navigation is shown until you open it from the menu button.

Move around the sidebar (New UX)

The New UX groups your day-to-day tools in a persistent sidebar.

Hover over any icon (or press Tab) to expand its text label.
Click an area (such as Performance) to open its flyout menu.
- Home and Coach open directly without a flyout.
Choose the item you want to open.

To close a flyout menu without choosing an item, click the same area in the sidebar again (such as Performance), click anywhere outside the menu, or press Esc.

Bottom sidebar controls

Help: Access guides, tutorials, and support chat.
Go to admin: Appears only if you hold administrative privileges to at least one area. Switches you into the Admin Zone.
Profile & account: Shows your name and account name. Select it to see your email address, user settings and sign out.
Policies: View Culture Amp’s Privacy & AI policies.

Admin & configuration features

In the New UX, administrative pages are no longer scattered under the settings gear icon or individual drop-downs. They live inside the Admin Zone.

To view these pages in the New UX, click Go to admin at the bottom of the sidebar first (unless noted otherwise).

FAQ

Does New UX change what I can access?

No. Your roles and permissions stay the same. New UX changes where pages are, not who can open them.

Why don't I see the "Go to admin" button?

If you see a menu bar across the top of the page, your account is on Classic UX, which doesn't have Go to admin. Use the Settings gear for account settings, users and roles, and each product's menu (such as Performance) for that product's admin pages.

If you see a sidebar, Go to admin appears only if you have an admin role, such as Account Administrator or a Full or Limited Permissions role for a product. Ask an Account Administrator to check your roles.

Why is my sidebar different from a colleague's?

Your sidebar only shows the products your account has and the pages your role gives you. For example, managers see Direct reports in several menus, and only people with an admin role see Go to admin.

Where is the Settings gear icon in the New UX?

The gear icon has been retired. Select Go to admin, then Account for account settings, users and roles. Each product's settings are under that product in the Admin Zone.
