Keeping track of goals is easier when you can view, filter and sort them to match your needs.

Who can use this feature?

Available on:

  • All Culture Amp subscriptions that include Performance with Goals.

Viewing Goal Details

Anyone with viewing rights can access goal details on the Goals page.

  • Admins can view all user goals.

  • Employees can view goals they own, goals where they’re a contributor (own key result/s), or goals where the creator/owner has granted visibility.

  • Managers can view all their direct report goals, regardless of visibility settings, and any other user goals where visibility permits.

How to View Goal Details:

  1. Go to the Goals page.

  2. Click View to see the goal details.

Progress Info Roll-Up

The Progress Info Roll-Up, available to all users, gives you a consolidated view of goal progress without switching between views. This makes it easier to track company, group, and individual activity at a glance.

Here’s what you’ll see:

  • Company goals clearly shown – Company-wide priorities are easy to spot.

  • Consolidated progress – Individual and group updates appear in one place.

  • Manager overview – Managers get a quick summary of their team’s activity.

Progress roll-up information appears automatically on the following tabs in the Goals page:

  • Your goals

  • Direct reports

  • Company

  • All goals

Sections in the Roll-Up

  • Total progress – Shows the combined progress of all published goals as a percentage. Each goal contributes equally to the total.

  • Goal status – Displays the percentage of published goals that are On track, At risk, Off track, or Complete.

  • Activity (Direct reports tab only) – The Activity section highlights direct reports who have created or updated at least one goal (including drafts) in the last 30 days.

Tip: People Science recommends updating goals at least once a month.

Note:

  • The roll-up updates in real time, so you’re always seeing the latest status.

  • The roll-up can’t be customized.

  • It’s not included in CSV exports.

  • Goals shown under the Contributor section (under the Your goals tab) mean you own a key result, but not the overall goal.

Filtering Your Goals

Filter your goals to find what you need quickly.

  1. Navigate to the Goals page.

  2. Click Add filters to reveal filtering options.

  3. Choose your filters:

  • Select from options like Goal type, Due date, Goal status, and more.

  • If your admin has set a Goal Cycle, the Due Date filter will default to the cycle’s End Date. You can still remove or change the filter at any time.

  • Default View: By default, all goals you have permission to view are shown, with the most recently updated goal at the top.

Tip: Once you apply filters, they’ll stay in place even if you log out and back in. This saves you time by not needing to reapply filters every time you log in.

Note: If you remove the Due Date filter, it won’t return automatically, you’ll need to re-add it manually.

Filter by Goal Conditions

Use the Goal conditions filter to identify goals that may need follow-up or action. This includes goals that are:

  • Overdue

  • Assigned to deactivated users

  • Belonging to removed groups

This filter helps you quickly locate and review goals that might be out of date or require reassignment, archiving, or deletion—especially useful during org changes or off-boarding.

Sorting Your Goals

Use the Sort by drop-down to organize your goals list by the most or least recent update, or by the earliest or latest due date. By default, the list is sorted by the Most recent update.

FAQs

I removed the Due Date filter, but it didn’t come back when I refreshed. Why?

Goal filters are sticky, which means the system remembers your last filter settings. If you remove a filter (like Due Date), it won’t return automatically, you’ll need to re-add it manually.

What does it mean if a goal shows under the Contributor section in the Progress Info Roll-Up?

Goals under Contributor (on the Your goals tab) mean you own a key result, but you’re not the overall goal owner.

How often does the Progress Info Roll-Up update?

The data updates in real time, so you’ll always see the latest progress.
