14 May 2025 – Comment Topic and Sentiment Upgrade
We’ve upgraded the sentiment and topic classification models behind Text Analytics to deliver more accurate and insightful results from your survey comments. This update improves how comments are tagged and summarized, helping you get even more value from open-text feedback.
What’s new?
Powered by Large Language Models (LLMs): The new model uses LLM technology to improve sentiment and topic tagging accuracy.
Improved context-awareness: Survey questions are now included as context when classifying comments, leading to more accurate and relevant tags.
Redefined 'Neutral' sentiment:
Previously: Comments that didn’t clearly sound positive or negative were labeled as Neutral.
Now: Neutral includes both truly neutral and mixed sentiment comments—those with a mix of positive and negative language.
Improved accuracy overall:
Better handling of short or ambiguous comments (e.g., “flexible working”).
More accurate AI summaries due to improved underlying tagging.
What does this mean for you?
AI summaries will be more accurate and relevant, with improved sentiment detection.
You may notice fewer comments tagged as Neutral, as more comments are now confidently classified as Positive or Negative.
There are no changes to the platform UI—filtering, editing, and exporting features all work the same way.
Check out the Text Analytics in Comments Reporting article to learn more.
23 April 2025 - Report Index Page Improvements
We’ve refreshed the Report Index Page to improve performance and bring the user experience in line with other areas of the platform.
While the core functionality remains the same, you’ll notice a few subtle enhancements aimed at helping reports load faster—especially for customers managing a large number of reports.
What’s new:
Improved load times for faster access to your reports
Updated terminology: "Current" is now "Live" to match the rest of the platform
Added metadata showing when each report was created and last updated
Refreshed filtering experience to align with other areas of Culture Amp
Note: The Report Index Page does not include date range filters or sorting—those are available on the Survey Index Page. Learn more.
16 April 2025 - Employee Timezone and Mobile Number Fields Added to Employee Data Template
We're excited to announce the addition of two new (optional) fields to the Employee Data Template: Mobile Phone Number and Timezone. These updates will help you get ready for the upcoming SMS Survey Invite notifications, which will be available to our Pilot customers starting April 29th.
What’s new?
The Employee Data Import template now includes two new columns: Mobile Number and Timezone.
The user profile view visible to admin users has been updated to display the new fields for Mobile Number and Timezone.
This update is part of our ongoing effort to enable SMS-based Survey Invite notifications, with the full feature rollout planned for later this quarter. We're giving early adopter customers a chance to import and update this data in advance to make the transition smoother. Learn more.
14 April 2025 - Demographic Columns Return to Comments Export (with RDE Enabled)
The ability to export Comments Reports with multiple demographic columns is now live in GA when RDE (Raw Data Extract) is enabled on a survey. This brings back functionality previously deprecated in October. We've listened to customer feedback and understand how valuable demographic context is—especially for large organizations making data-informed decisions. To access this, RDE must be enabled, multiple comment filters requested at survey setup, and the export can only be performed by users with the Survey Data Analyst role. Learn more.
