When raw data extract is enabled for a survey, participants will be informed on how their data will be handled. This is done by displaying a clear warning message within the survey experience to ensure transparency.
Tip: If you're looking to enable raw data for your survey, check out our support guide on how to enable raw data extracts.
Why this warning is important
Raw data extracts can include identifiable information, like Email or Employee ID, which can link responses to individuals. By sharing this information upfront, participants are made aware of how their data might be used.
Where the warning appears
When the Allow Raw Data Extracts option is enabled, the following warning message is automatically displayed to participants:
"For this survey, raw data extracts that include identifiable data may be made available to nominated administrators at %ACCOUNT_NAME%."
This message will appear in the following places:
On the Reporting Rules page
In the Welcome Screen before participants start the survey
Linked in all survey-related emails sent to participants
Note: this warning text cannot be edited, so it’s a good idea to clearly communicate to participants beforehand that identifiable data will be collected in the survey.
