🔐 Who can use this feature?
Roles: All users (once enabled for the account)
Subscriptions: Any package with Performance
Strengthen your feedback with AI-generated suggestions before you submit it. The Improve button appears wherever you write qualifying feedback, once your account has turned the feature on.
Get AI suggestions for your feedback
Suggest Improvements checks your feedback against four qualities:
Specific: Descriptive rather than general.
Impact: What resulted from the action or behavior.
Actionable: Suggests a future-forward action the person can take.
Objective: Focused on what was observed and its impact, rather than subjective judgments.
To get suggestions:
Write your feedback.
The Improve button becomes available once you've written at least 60 characters.
Select Improve.
You can select Improve up to 50 times in any 24-hour period.
Review the suggestions the AI offers.
Edit your feedback to incorporate any suggestions you want to use, then submit it as usual.
Suggestions are optional and editable. They're there to guide your feedback, not to replace your own judgment.

Turn on Suggest Improvements for your account
Turned off by default.
An administrator turns it on for the whole account, which applies it to every performance cycle and probation process (draft, scheduled, live, and closed).
Can't be turned on for individual cycles only.
Go to Admin > Performance > Performance cycles.
Select AI settings.
Turn on the toggle.
Turning this toggle on also turns on Highlights and Opportunities, another AI feature, across the same cycles and probation reviews.
Turn off Suggest Improvements for your account
Turn off Suggest Improvements for your account
Go to Admin > Performance > Performance cycles.
Select AI settings.
Turn the toggle off.
This turns off both Suggest Improvements and Highlights and Opportunities, across all performance cycles and probation reviews. You can't turn it off for individual cycles only.
Language support for Suggest Improvements
Suggest Improvements works in any language that's been turned on in a multilingual performance cycle. How well the AI performs varies by language, so the languages fall into two tiers:
Fully supported (the AI is highly proficient and gives its most accurate, refined suggestions): English, English (UK), Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish, Spanish (Latin America).
Supported (functional and usable, but suggestions may be less refined than in fully supported languages): Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, French Canadian, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Ukrainian, Vietnamese.
If you're using a Supported language, you'll see an in-platform note explaining that suggestions may be less refined, shown in your preferred language.
If your language isn't in either tier, the Improve button won't appear in manager reviews, peer and upward feedback, or probation reviews. In anytime feedback and manager-requested feedback, it still appears and gives suggestions in English. For more on language support across Culture Amp's AI features, see Supported languages and product coverage.
Troubleshooting
Improve isn't offering any suggestions: Add more detail to your feedback until it reaches 60 characters, then select Improve again.
You've reached today's limit for Improve: Wait until your 24-hour period resets, then select Improve again.
Suggestions appear in English even though you're using a supported language, in a manager review, peer and upward feedback, or probation review: Check with your performance administrator that your language was turned on when the multilingual cycle was configured.
Suggestions appear in English in anytime feedback or manager-requested feedback, even though you're using a supported language elsewhere: This is expected. These two surfaces always fall back to English for a language that isn't fully or partially supported, and there's no cycle setup to check or change.
