The ability to request external feedback is now live as part of our GA release! Previously available only to a select group of customers, this feature is now accessible to all customers with Performance + Anytime feedback enabled. External feedback allows you to request feedback from external parties—such as clients, vendors, partners, or contractors. This helps provide a fuller, more unbiased view of employee performance and supports more accurate evaluations. Learn more.

Personal Notes are now available in 1-on-1 conversations, making it easier for employees to capture and organize key insights from their discussions. This feature creates a private space to jot down observations, follow-ups, and plans, ensuring that important details don’t get lost. Learn more.
9 Dec 2024 - Notifications digest for 1-on-1 conversations now live
We know that managing 1-on-1 email updates can get overwhelming, especially for managers with multiple direct reports. To help keep your inbox under control, we’ve rolled out the Notifications digest!
Here’s how it works:
First action email: You’ll get an immediate email notification when you add a topic or note to a 1-on-1.
Second action email: If another action occurs shortly after, you’ll receive a second email.
Digest email: After that, any further updates within the next 24 hours will be bundled into a single digest email, giving you a summary of everything that happened.
The volume of 1-on-1 email updates can quickly become too much, and we’ve heard that it sometimes leads to important updates being missed. The new digest reduces clutter while still ensuring you’re kept in the loop and fully prepared for your 1-on-1s. Learn more.
2 Dec 2024 - Goal Tree filtering now available
We’ve improved the Goal Tree for Goals (new) customers, making it easier for employees to view their goal hierarchy. You can now select any group as the root of the tree, allowing users with group goals to see their goals more clearly—even if company-level goals are not set up. This update enhances clarity and usability, especially for those who previously couldn't view their goal tree without company goals. Learn more.
26 Nov 2024 - Saved filter and sort preferences in 1-on-1 conversations
We’ve just made sorting your conversations a little easier! Now, your filter and sort options in 1-on-1 conversations will be saved by default. What does this mean for you? No more resetting your preferences every time you log in. The platform will remember your last filter and sort-by selections, so you’ll always see your conversations the way you like them. 21 Nov 2024 - Revised 1-on-1 Check-in & Slider Improvements (GA)
We’ve made some great improvements to make your 1-on-1s easier and faster! Here's what's new:
Simplified agenda: Highlights/Challenges and check-in sliders are now right in the agenda—no more extra clicks!
Manager visibility: Managers can see when sliders aren’t filled out yet, so they know when input is needed.
Comparison view: You can now compare your current check-in slider entries with past ones.
New 'add' button: A button to manually add check-in sliders or Highlights and challenges if needed.
‘Created for’ tag: Shows who needs to fill out each section.
Reappearance: Check-in items will reappear within 24 hours for the next meeting. A toast notification will alert the person who marked the check-in as complete, with an option to add items sooner if needed.
Simplified topic navigation: No more chevrons (>)—just click "Show/Hide/Add Notes" under each topic.
These changes are all about making your 1-on-1s more organized and easier to manage. Learn more.
21 Nov 2024 - Goals (new) administrator role
We’re excited to announce the launch of the new Goals (new) administrator role, now available to help you manage and oversee goals across your organization. This role is similar to the Account administrator when it comes to managing goals, but with one key difference: Goals administrators won’t have access to manage the overall organization structure. Goal admins can:
Create, edit, and update goals for any group or employee.
Assign goal creators to specific organizational units.
Administer collaborations and post comments on goals.
View goal reports to track progress.
Account Administrators can assign the Goals administrator role to anyone in the organization. For a detailed breakdown of permissions and role assignment, check out the Permissions guide and how to assign users to roles.
18 Nov 2024 - Updated terminology for Goals (new)
Based on valuable feedback from our Goals (new) users, we’ve updated some key terminology to make it more inclusive and better reflect how our customers work with goals. What’s changed?
Relationships → Aligned Goals
Add Relationship → Connect to
Add Parent Goal → Add Primary Goals
Add Child Goal → Add Supporting Goals
These changes are part of an experiment to see if these new terms improve clarity and user experience. We’ll continue to monitor feedback to ensure we’re meeting your needs. Learn more.
31 Oct 2024 - New sorting options for 1-on-1 conversations
We’ve added a new sorting feature to help you manage multiple 1-on-1s more easily, making it simpler to prioritize and access conversations at a glance. Now, you can sort 1-on-1s by alphabetical order (A-Z or Z-A), most recent update, or relationship type (colleague, direct report, manager). This update is especially helpful for users with many conversations, providing a clearer view with automatic grouping for larger lists. It’s all about giving you quicker access to the conversations that matter most! Learn more.
16 Oct 2024 - Commenting on Goals (new) now available
Employees can now add and view comments on goals in Goals (new). This feature enhances communication, tracking, and collaboration around goal progress. Learn more.
11 Sept 2024 - Goals (new) report export now available
We're excited to announce that the ability to export a Goals report is now available in Goals (new) to all users. This report provides a clear summary of each goal's current status, offering better insights into goal progress. Previously, reporting on goals was limited to filtering the goals list, and only Admins could download reports. Now, all employees can export a Goals report, with data limited to the goals they have permission to view. Learn more.
11 Sept 2024 - Copy a goal with Goals (new)
We're excited to introduce the highly requested "Copy a Goal" feature! Users can now easily duplicate any goal they own, saving time and ensuring consistency. Sept 5 2024 - Rich text support in Goals (new) descriptions
Rich text is now available in the goal description field for Goals (new)! This long-requested feature allows users to format text, improving readability and clarity. Previously, descriptions were limited to plain text, making it harder for employees and managers to engage with goals. Sept 5 2024 - 1-on-1s calendar event creation now available
You can now set up meetings directly from the 1-on-1s conversation view with a single, convenient link. Previously, you had to copy a URL to your calendar manually. This new feature simplifies the process, helping you stay organized by linking your 1-on-1 conversations directly to calendar events. Learn more.
Sept 3 2024 - 1-on-1s reporting now includes alphabetical and numeric sorting
Admins can now sort 1-on-1s reports alphabetically by department or numerically in ascending/descending order for other categories. This update makes it easier to navigate data, helping admins quickly find the information they need. Learn more.
Aug 29 2024 - Event History for 1-on-1s now live!
We’re excited to announce that the new Event History feature for 1-on-1s is now available! This feature helps keep everything transparent and easy to track. You can now see who has completed, reopened, or edited topics, as well as who has edited or deleted notes in your 1-on-1s. Each action will be recorded with the user’s name and the date, so you’ll always have a clear record of changes and updates. This should make it simpler to stay on top of all your 1-on-1 details and maintain context. Learn more.

Aug 13 2024 - Hero Stats for Manager and Department participation in 1-on-1s
We’re excited to bring back the popular hero reporting stats for manager and department participation in 1-on-1s, now available specifically for Account Admins. This feature was a favorite in the classic experience, and based on customer feedback, we've reintroduced it. For department participation, you’ll now see three key metrics (7, 30, 90 days) highlighted at the top as a hero metric. Similarly, for manager participation within a department, these same time-based metrics are prominently displayed as hero stats. Learn more.

Admins can view participation rates (%) by Department over various time frames, from 7 days to 12 months. We've now added the ability for Admins to click on these departments and see a detailed breakdown for each manager. Learn more.
